Bootleg Video

writer | producer | editor

As a creative outlet between bigger projects, I started up a YouTube channel about my various nerdy interests. Movies, comics, monsters, professional wrestling, etc. I wanted something I could create as solo as possible, for as cheap as possible.

All these videos were either shot in my basement on an iPhone, or filmed with my friends at Bus-Stop Productions.

Christmas Movie Mashup

It’s a Christmas movie trivia game with guests J’kalein Madison and Shelby Gappa!

I combined the plots of one Christmas movie and one non-Christmas movie. The contestants then had to figure out which two films were mashed up.

Horrified Halloween

It’s a Halloween game night on Bootleg Video!

Thomas Benjamin and J’kalein Madison joined me to battle Universal Monsters in the awesome board game HORRIFIED!

Head's Up, Harry!

Do you know your Harry Potter? These muggles think they do!

Evan Baker and J’kalein Madison test their knowledge of the Wizarding World in the game Head’s Up, Harry!

One Night Ultimate Werewolf

Karen Kobliska and Eric Benson join me in a game of ONE NIGHT ULTIMATE WEREWOLF!

13 Favorite Movies for the Halloween Season

I wanted to share my favorite movies to watch during my favorite time of year.

Some are scary, some are less scary, but they are all perfect for October.

PRO-WRESTLING GIMMICK GAME

I test the knowledge of two pro-wrestling superfans on the previous gimmicks (characters) of WWE superstars past and present.

J’kalein Madison and Duane Melsh face-off in the WWE Pseudonym Slam!

AQUAMAN MOVIE - Ten Things I'd Like to See

After the trailer debuted at Comic-Con 2018, I put together a list of all the things I wanted to see in the first film starring the King of Atlantis, Aquaman!

FILM SCHOOL SUPERHERO SHORT FILM

In BE KIND REWIND, I show old films of mine that vary in quality. The idea is that even if you think you’re not good at something, the only way to get better is to practice.

This is BLUE JUSTICE, I superhero short I wrote while at Full Sail. It was then produced by my class while learning to shoot on 16mm film.

Comic-Con or Comic-Conned?

I often find myself excitedly rambling to my wife at great lengths regarding upcoming comics & films, and at no time does this happen more than during San Diego Comic-Con.

So after the 2018 event, I quizzed Abby on all the breaking news she doesn’t particularly care about, and tried to see if she could figure out which ones I was making up.

Can you determine which headlines are true? Or will you be COMIC-CONNED?

MARVEL'S THE WASP - Bootleg Trivia

With ANT-MAN AND THE WASP about to open in theaters, I wanted to take a look at the history of the first female superhero to get her name in the title of a Marvel film!

Confession time: I love Riverdale. Even more so, I love the modern Archie incarnations written by Mark Waid and Nick Spencer.

After season two wrapped up, I wanted to to map out what I wanted to see in season three.

Bantha Fact or Bantha Fodder?

We’re playing BANTHA FACT OR BANTHA FODDER, where two Star Wars fans try to decide if I’m giving them actual stories and characters from the franchise’s 40+ year history, or if it’s just something I made up.

Playing the game are Evan Baker and Eric Benson.

May The Force Be With You?

On May 4th, a.k.a. Star Wars Day, it’s just a hair more socially acceptable to slip “May The Force be with you” into everyday conversation. But how are you supposed to respond to that?

13 Times Speculation About Marvel Films Led to Nothing

After the mixed reaction to Star Wars: The Last Jedi, I’d been thinking a lot about how speculation and fan theory can change a person’s perception of a film. And there’s no franchise I’ve speculated about more than the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

I love you Marvel, but these are 13 times your teases and Easter Eggs got me all worked up for nothing.

Am I as socially awkward online as I am in person? Only one way to find out!
